Gov’t lurches from one crisis to another:
2011 it was the “Debt Crisis”. In 2012, “Fiscal Cliff”. February was “Sequestration”. Stay tuned for April’s “Debt Limit Re-Run”.   It seems like our government is doing everything it can to frighten consumers into not spending and sour the economy. Confidence is a intangible thing…kind of like momentum. And with 2/3 of our economy driven by consumer spending, the antics in Washington D.C. are doing little to inspire confidence that would lead to a positive cycle of increased spending, increased production, more jobs, etc. However, I saw a study today that says that only 40% of the public followed “Fiscal Cliff” and only 25% are following “Sequestration”….clearly these “drama’s” are getting old.

March U.S. Car Sales Up:
Proving that U.S. consumers are “tuning out” Washington and going about their lives is a nice __ increase in U.S. Auto Sales in February and an industry SAAR of 15.3 Million. Among our brands, Kia, was just was recognized for 18 straight years of market share growth (http://www.forbes.com/sites/jimhenry/2013/02/27/kia-is-on-a-roll-in-the-u-s-say-18-consecutive-years-of-market-share-gains/)   We are also very excited about the opening of our new Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram store in Collierville TN and pleased that Chrysler sales also posted a 4% percent YOY increase. Toyota's sales rose 4.3 percent, while Honda fell 2 percent and Nissan dropped 6.6 percent.

What’s Driving better Car Sales?
It’s powerful combination of easy credit availability, dirt-cheap interest rates, job growth, rising incomes, consumer confidence, pent-up demand (average age of the vehicle on the road is highest its ever been) and fresh, new, fuel efficient products arriving on the market. Even with the Washington bickering, look for auto sales to continue to help pull the economy forward. And now we are seeing signs of better housing starts and home prices climbing! Get excited!
Final salvo at our “Drama Queen” Government:
It is just amazing to me to wonder why Americans are allowing our future to be jeopardized by out of control Government spending.   I remember just enough of my High School HISTORY to know that Greece was once a WORLD SUPERPOWER. So too was Italy (Rome and the Roman Empire), France and Spain! All four are now experiencing horrible economic times because of the weight of debt built up over decades of social welfare spending that was unpaid for (borrowed).
Why on earth would we want to follow that path?
Grand Opening in March:

Rain, Rain, Go Away!
This much rain in Central Mississippi is not a good thing with spring now here. Let’s hope the rain will abate and spring-like temps and sunshine allow us to dry out, avoid any more flooding and get this huge I-55 North construction project back going full speed ahead! We are looking forward to having our new entranceway on the new frontage road!
